I used MP 1.0.0.0, with a PVR150 analog tuner and a FireDTV C tuner. Single seat.
Yesterday I removed my PVR150, so only FireDTV was left.
With the PVR150 I never had the problem, but now I get the 'Lost connection to TV server' after every S3 resume.
If I restart MP, it works again. I don't have to restart TV server.

sorry that i've not answered to this thread. This was definitly a "Kabel Deutschland" problem they've changed the serviceids of the complete ZDF Group to other ids. Now everything is working again.

I also tried using the Cyberlink H.264/AVC codec. Instead of partial picture i get no picture. by doing some channel shifting the bug disappears. The bug seem to appear everytime i start watching tv, regardless of codec. When i the bug i gone (due to channel shifting) it does not come back untill i restart mediaportal.

When watching HD Channels in RC4 I only get a small part of the picture. Look like i only see the an upper left squeare...
I will try the default skin and look up for the error log.... but the watchdog didn't pop up if I kill MP via task manager tho... and the MP is the exact setting as my living room htpc (but Vista instead of XP). also, I've tried just to play the video files, all plays fine using 3rd party player.

I've just installed MP in my bedroom htpc client last night, running XP Pro SP2, MP1.0, ATI2600Pro, 2GB ram, etc...
Do these files play in Windows Media Player, if not the required codec to recognise mpeg inside mkv is not installed.
You could try enabling mpeg support in ffdshow if installed, but unlikely as your log says CoreAVC, btw what mpeg codecs have you got installed.
