I can't get above dvb-s tv-card get to work with latest mp/tv-server and Windows XP SP2.
Preview in TV-Server is working. Channel-scan OK.
But when running MP there is no TV or channels in My TV.

I was using that setting. I noticed it didn't actually seem to be doing the restart on resume, so I just switched that off a few minutes ago. I'll see if that makes a difference.

Good point, I'll actually watch the video in graphedit and see if it's smooth, it's noticeably jerky on slow scenes in MediaPortal.
Decoding h.264 TV I get maybe 1 - 3 jitter, but with the MKV files I get 21 which is unwatchable.
I also extracted the AVI out from the mkv using the tool that comes with haali and the AVI plays fine...

turned out to be a decoder problem. was using ffdshow. some discs played fine. others had the problem. changed to cyberlinks decoder and everything played. given that dvd is a standard format not sure why there was anyproblem, if one played they all should have. but problem is fixed for now

I've just upgraded my MP install to v 1.00.00 RC1 with TV Server.
It's all working fine... except for the EPG...
Have put this to team-mediaportal, because there have been that many fixes since 0.2.3.0, that the wording on the download page needs to be reconsidered, I know we consider MP1.0RC1 to be last stable release, just no one has put it in writing.

When I first set up MediaPortal in my home, with a client/server setup, I assumed that the frame skip and pausing of DivX/XviD files was caused by my network switch. After upgrading the switch and all network cards to gigabit, I still have the same issue...

Gah! It seems the Audio Renderer is the culprit again. I set it to the PowerDVD one, instead of Default Direct Sound Device. I know that a couple of problems are caused by setting the Audio Renderer to something different than the Default Direct Sound Device, but I simply didn't think of that here. :bash:
