I don't think so, but I'm bumping this thread because I've been trying to work out if it's possible to do the same thing with a HVR3000.
I suspect it can't be done though (because you need a USB-based IR receiver to wake the computer), unless anybody knows differently of course...

The easiest way to solve your problem is don't leave MP sitting on the home screen. Any other screen will allow MP to handle any scheduled recording but won't allow powerscheduler to kick in. When you're finished using the PC, put MP back on the home page and powerscheduler will then timeout and put the PC to sleep.

The solution described here helped me on the same problem. I was able to set up blade sharp high contrasted picture both on TV and video playback.

Was it in the first place a clean installation, since you installed on Vista the "write folders" are not in MP root but in C:\Users\All Users\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal or %ProgramData%\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal.
The best thing to do it's to uninstall MP & delete MediaPortal folder on both places & then install RC3 again...

After much trying, I managed to change the recording resolution by using another app. It's a small app, called VirtualVCR, where I can access the card properties and change the resolution (which is then used by MediaPortal). Funny thing is that this app won't work properly...

Ok, I found one solution for the 1. stuttering problem: I installed DScaler5 MPEG codecs and changed Mediaportal to use DScaler as a MPEG2 encoder instead of nVidia Purevideo and voila: stuttering is gone.
BUT, now the audio is way out of sync and the picture quality is poor compared to Purevideo.
Any ideas?
