So I thought I had sorted it out, but my timeshifting and recording woes are back.
It is now not as bad as it was, and sometimes not noticable, but after time it either becomes more noticable or it gets worse.
Extra info:
*I am a little low on space on my only drive (16% remaining) and defrag would not...

After installing 0.2, pause key (space, with my keyboard) does not work. The video (or audio) stays in pause just for a moment...
I haven't tried this in several MP versions, but as far as I know it still works: You can type numbers as you have tried, but you start with hours. 0010 will take you ten minutes into the movie. I have no idea how detailed you can be, but try punching more numbers and check if it takes seconds too. I think it should.

Nope, you cannot do that with MP's implementation. Have a look around for HIP (or Girder) & a custom driver. Keep in mind that you'd lose all advantages of the integrated MCE mapper then.

ha, it worked straight out of the box!!! no need to make monikers, etc. Way to go Team media portal.
BTW the card was utter cr@p. The picture quaility and singal was so bad I had to put it back on ebay.

Although i have enabled GUI Sounds Effects in my MP Setup i dont listen to any GUI Sounds when i move around.

Don't think its possible without writing a plugin. I'm not even sure if Mediaportal has any command line options.
You could of course find a tool that executes key commands at a certain time, if you set this up to execute the key to go into mypictures and start a slideshow at 9:30 it should work.

I've reinstalled a few times recently and it pulls recorded show's in with one side effect, you lose the duration, ie every file is 0.00, but plays fine.
If that's ok with you, can delete database quite happily and start with a clean system.

This Error is because MP uses the "207"er Api Command fo transmitting the PMT to the cam. The driver does not understand this old command.

I think I have (almost) the same issue simmo:
Lately, sometimes myTV freezes on one tv-chanel (not always the same chanel!!!) and I won't get a signal for that anymore. Other chanels are still fine.
example:
- looking chanel1 for one hour, CH1 freezes
- changing chanel -> all others work fine
- changing back to CH1 -> no...
