please, make buttons "skip" and "replay" (or any better solution) to change day in EPG.....it is very complicated to change day...

The problem might not be big, but it just seems to me that it is such a strange thing, not to have included. Somehow the code must be there already, since it is working in the channel-list - surely it can't be that hard to also do this for the TVguide.

I think a "simple" improvement would be (as mentioned above) to just check the name of the original item scheduled to record, and the name of the item it will record, and if its different then look for the program within X minutes. I guess this check needs to be done any time the EPG updates.

You might want to go with MP4 files as they play both on PS3 and 360. Most of the time you won't have to re-encode the video...

I am really happy with Mediaportal, especially the RC3 has matured very much.

I'm running mediaportal at 1980X1080 which it runs just fine until I start to run one of the sonique visualizations in full screen.
When the vis is running as the small version in the bottom left hand corner (blue skin) it runs fine and not jerky at all. When in full screen mode with the vis it runs jerky.

Just put a folder.jpg / cover.png / front.jpg / whatever in the folder you want an image for.
Then activate "Use for thumb creation: *.png, *jpg (prefers "front" cover)" and rescan your collection with
"Update database from selected shares".
If you do not want to do this manually there's a decent solution if your ID3-Tags are...

Those are the magic words. There is no need to try to lure people who arent using computer to use HTPC. Its just not going to work. There are so much OS level tinkering when it comes to HTPC (drivers, codecs, HW acceleration...) that its probably just a bad idea to try to get a working setup for a computer illiterate people.
