If it is only 1 channel (i count the normal and hd as one) the chances are very small (0.01%) this is a MP bug.
The only thing i see that will reveal for sure if it is a bug, is analyzing a raw ts dump (with dvbstreamexplorer for instance).

I had not considered the need for removable devices and I can now see why attempting to fix this eventuality would produce a bigger bug.
Re BGT capature cards. I have found them to be very good. Mine works in MP flawlessly. I have had trouble in the past with Twinhan and Hauppauge cards. Bloody tricky this HTPC stuff.
