As far as I know is that it's not allowed to export data from TV browser to other data bases.
But that does not necessarily make it useless for Media Portal.
Eg. MediaPortal could call TV browser via plug in. TV Browser could have a special Media Portal skin+remote functions.

I have had to give up on trying to get it to work as I cannot get any control over my STB's.
I do have theory as to why though, when I setup Media Centre it allowed me to select that I had no remote for the STB's and it then listed a load of manufactures and under each one was a set of codes which I assume are different IR code...

We're in the process of setting up a seperate SF project for this - it is currently at http://www.sf.net/projects/mp-webinterface. I think the problem is that the External Control Plugin II...
they have to be in the same folder and have to be named like
Star Wars 1 CD1.avi

etc.
Works for me, same name apart from CD number
