Works like a charm here. Thanks for the great utility. I have this running on my server so that I can quickly stop or start the TV Service. I also tested it from a client computer and it worked well too. The server was Windows 2003 and the workstation was Windows XP Pro SP2.

With this option enabled, MP does not use ffdshow at all, thus changing ffdshow's settings won't have ANY effect at all.
Simply unchecking the "only allow"-option in ffdsgow's settings stopped video rotating instantly.

It sounds like you have a CODEC problem, possibly try ffdshow or xvid. that video should start on the intro screen and then show a desktop, it should change as I'm sure you guessed.

Have been able to get it working almost as before.
I was not able to get logs working and reinstalled again - but again same strange thing with previous settings appeared.
The ordinary MediaPlayer.exe did not work but I tried AppStart.exe and finaly MediaPortal started again.

1- Watch a channel during 30 seconds
2- Select another channel
3- I watch the 30 seconds of before channel
4- After 30 seconds then MP change to channel selected
This issue is in the beginning start MP, after all seem normal
