I wonder if there is a way to make Mediaportal more friendly to use with simple remote control, i.e. remote with only 6 keys: 4 directional keys (left, right, up, down), enter/select and esc/back. I can't find how, for example, to pause/play, zoom in/out, fast forward and more without mapping remote keys to these operations...

AS far as the 2nd part is concerned, tt sounds to me like you may have the option to restart MP after a crash set. Check your logs.

This is a DX8 card with 64mb of memory (low minimal DX9 128\256mb rqd), so probably that, SIS graphics have exactly the same problem.
The only way of proving this is replace the card with any dx9 128mb card ie 9600 or FX5200 onwards and see if it now works (usually does).
