Maybe the question needs to be turned around:

For general use there is no need for that.
But could be an option for a future release of MediaPortal.

Unfortunately I've deleted the recording so I can't tell you exactly how big the file was though I *think* it was around 1.8Gb. There are other recording in the folder that exceed 2Gb and some even go up to 3Gb.
I did notice that the DVB EPG was a bit corrupt so I've deleted that. I've also uninstalled the AV software...

Agree with the statement that menu animations and transitions between screens aren't really smooth, maybe someone can look at this. Or just wait for MP next-generation that will include XAML for skins (mega smooth :) )

Thank you for you tip Paloema, But to no avail...first of all i have Scrobbler disabled at all times (don't see the point of that pluggin yet). I have installed the latest 12995 svn this morning to check it out anyway...and with 5.1 and 7.1 upmixing enabled the crossfading error and instability keeps coming back....bummer :)

So, I gave up on EPG and am getting better results with XMLTV. However, when I enter my zap2it info and update, it grabs TV correctly, and states it must restart MediaPortal. Buit then I see this error. Any advice appreciated.
