Awesome - it worked.
Just one problem....once I was in the DVD watching it, I couldn't get back out to the menu to select another one. I couldn't seem to stop it or anything either. The only way I managed to get out was to ctrl-alt-dlt the thing.
I haven't searched for a solution yet, will do now though. Just thought I'd pop it...

After some check it seems the tvserver thinks that is a mpeg2 channel, instead of x264. That is why the MP tries to use mpeg2 codec to play the stream. Any idea?

No changes are done to TsReader, so the blocking code is still there. I think is connecting to ffdshow as your ffdshow filter's name is ending with the "0001". So the basic string comparision is just failing and allowing the ffdshow to be used.

If you're using mkv's, why not use mkvmerge to embed the subtitles in the mkv file? Then all you need to do is make sure Haali autoloads vsfilter (per Goose' codec guide), and you don't need to mess around with separate files, or any post processing configuration in MP
