Sure, I could. I've already done that, but the nothing even showed up on the log files. I'll do it again though. Thanks. I tried turning on and off Windows IMAPI CD-Burning Service... just in case. OK, I generated some logs and had a little look and I could see a couple of plugins load - iplayer and VideoLan
I disabled them and it all worked
A little more work and it is the VLC plugin causing a problem, so for no I have disabled it
Interestingly, during the "test" it plays the file fine, as it does outside of MP too.

I did a clean install of 1.0.2. now and added a new , more powerful gfx card (Radeon HD 4550). But the plroblem is still there. when switching from a SD channel to a HD Channel MP freezes.
When pressing "Stop" and confirm with "stop" right after that I can see HD channel.

That's because in Shares, it does not look at the tags. It looks at what you physically have on that harddrive folder. So since you have two different folders, it sees two different folders. Get it?
In the other modes all look at your tags. So it doesn't really care how you have the folders set up, it just reads the tags.

There's also a tick box somewhere in configuration which enables MP to open where it was last time (rather than always opening at the home screen).

When I play a videofile in MP 1.02 it will stutter like crazy and the CPU usage is very high. Can't be the network/ip issue as it does it both when its on the network and when it isn't (hasn't been networked for a few months now, has no need to be).
