Have my tv series dvd's ripped to iso's, renamed so my tv series picks them up (e,g 24.s01e01.iso)and all is okay till i try play them and i get codec errors, now i can copy this file uver to my movies and it doesnt name it right but i can play it okay

How is everyone else able to do it? Hell, it's about the only thing in SageTV that works at all, and even that is iffy.

I have done a new test recording. No problem this time. Same 1 hour programming time gave a 2.4 GB file. If you compare that to the two problem recordings of 0.6 GB and 1.7 GB files that were not recorded full time.
Any ideas why the files weren´t recorded the full time?

Thanks to both of you, but I had already tried those suggestions.
As it happens, the disk has turned out to be so noisy in use that it's completely unnacceptable in an HTPC in the lounge so it's going back and I've gone back to MP1.0 on the other disk.
Something of a brutal way to solve a problem!

Yes thanks I fixed it by choosing ffdshow as audio processor and setting 2.0 in config there as output, it imeddiately put center speaker back in line. MPC-audio was not doing it even when config stated to output as stereo.

Same. 1 out of 12 recordings does not work.
In TsWriter.log I have the messages
Recorder: RECORD Info : Program clock reference backward jump ( -28124 ).
for this not working recording.
Can anybody help?
