Where you trying to go from windowed mode to fullscreen with video\tv playing, as this does not work with MP, and the chances are it never will, until MP2.
You need to stop video, then resize screen and restart video, and all is fine.

I'm seeing the same problem. If I query IMDB from within Mediaportal, it actually displays a nice, high-res thumbnail in the imdb page. As soon as I back out to apply that thumbnail and go back to filmstrip view, I get a 94x120 thumbnail which looks horrible, even on my 10-year-old CRT TV. This "glitch" only applies to the movie...

Just took a look at the MP log myself, is it trying to use VMR9? I have it set to EVR and it does use that with files that work. I set the rendrer to VMR, but it still failed tp play.
I just followed the guide posted here, and I can confirm it now works with the latest VSFilter and autoload in Halli's settings. Should have tried that...

I do not like to have the TV Server installed. The app is a memory hog (including the MSSQLExpress it uses ~200MB RAM!) just for watching TV? Maybe some devs can backport the support for the USB DVB-S thing? That would be a huge improvement :)

In latest version of MP you don't need to touch XML file on depending of your Trio version. That's great ... however MP only detect my Analog and DVB-T tuners. DVB-S tuner is not detected.

Best bit of advice i can give is after getting everything right in moviedatabase, back it and the thumbs folder up, so you can easily restore, because a real pain having to get it right again.

I found that you have to have the order you correct in the channel groups section. So if you are viewing the group All Channels , in the TVServer management Cosole, go to TVchannels/TVGroups and then select the All Channels group. Then you select the up and down oon each channel to define how you would like them set up.
