I had the DVB Patches installed allready - so thats not the problem :-/
Uli, try the DVB Viewer - they support this card fully allready, including DisqC/DVB-S2/H.264, working like a charm on my setup. I guess i will wait for TV 3.0 from MediaPortal and till they support H.264 (can't understand why thats not on the high priority...

Display problems
The crash described earlier still happens when I run the setup wizard in the settings section while running MP. However it seem to be no problem, I did a fresh (re)install and got most of it working. I am very impressed by the GUI and the functionality of MP! What a great programm!!
However, now my main problem...

Have you tried to setup the analogue function for the card then manually add the CVBS/SVHS channels.
You do this in configuration under TV Channels.
Just add the channel and choose svhs as your input

I am not familiar with that card, I would check the MP wiki of
supported TV cards first.
Could be a driver, not sure what version you have.
Have you tried newer ones from Hauppauge, the MP download
section or http://www.shspvr.com/
(shspvr forum and usually hauppauge have the latest version)
HTH,
patrick

Hi there. I am using the latest MP download and running it on a Phillips 42" Plasma. The TV is connected to my PC via the screen port (don't know technicial term), and everything runs fine... except for 2 things.
The MyTV only displays 2/3 of the screen. It's almost as if the whole image has slid to the right hand side and been...

That doesn't sound too bad, provided it is supposed to work. I'll give it a shot tonight and let you know. :thx:
Oh, and the lineup is one analog and 7 (or 8) digital. I'll save my logs first as well, just to note any differences in case it helps for later.

Turns out that hardware PID filtering must be disabled before scanning. Kind of strange, could be considered a bug.
Anyway, for me the problem is 'solved', but enabling hw PID filtering shouldnt block autotuning!

Problem Solved
:) Hi Taipan
Thanks for your quick reply, it was a BIG help and gave me the clue that I had missed. I missed the point that you could scan channels from the Setup application as it is not immediately obvious how to do it.
I did not realise that "Auto Tune" was only accessable via "Capture Card/Edit but I got there in...

This sounds like Windows Installer kicking in, but AFAIK the MP team have stopped using that recently so you shouldn't have this problem with future releases.
BTW, Windows Installer kicks in because it has detected that someone/thing has tampered with the installation and it tries to fix it. If you have done this and don't have a...
