Well I confirmed that this is a windows problem not a media portal problem. I put the computer to sleep after closing media portal down and when I woke it up, it was really slow and eventually rebooted. I didn't get to see what was on the screen as I left the room :-(

yesterday I installed a 45-button remote from Hauppauge. It worked fine.
When I restarted my PC today it stopped working. I cannot see the symbol in the tray and when I end MediaPortal I get a message "HcWHekper.exe has stopped working".
I tried to reinstall IR32.exe but it doesn't help. Any ideas what to do?

In my TV Server configuration settings under recording I change the Recording to Series and select the 1st default format. It still records as if Movies was selected. When I go back into the server configuration it says Moves again. As if my change never took place. Is there something else I need to do?

I know about that my OS (a Windows Server 2008 R2) is not supported, but it works perfekt in my environment.

Hmm, it partially worked. I got SQL server installed OK, and I ran setuptv with the configure-db param, and that seemed to work in that I selected MS SQL Server and clicked Test and it succeeded - but it doesn't appear to have created the database. If I try and start the TV service it fails with:

1. Please don't use preview for testing. Use MP if you want to check if video/audio works.
