i have installed the alpha 1.1 version on my vista x86 machine.

I found croping not to be sucessfull when using smart-stretch. Try "stretch", then crop. All zoom-modes worked fine for me after.

Thanks for the comments kszabo. Unfortunately i dont want to have to convert an avi to mkv everytime. The fact that kmplayer/vlcplayer can switch audio tracks without issue means there must be some way to get this working in mediaportal. I'll just have to keep trying things i guess.

You can't customize during installation, but afterwards, you can change lot of settings by editng mediaportaldirs.xml.
Same concept as the shared database.
Remember to backup your changed file for future upgrades.
