I've just had to reinstall MP as I played with WMC, which ruined everything. That will teach me!
With regards to the codec, I've now upgraded to 1.9.0 I was running 1.8.5, which may have been the issue.

Sorry this will not work....not because of the cables but because MediaPortal cashes the signal which gives you a few seconds delay before you actually see or hear the output from your PS2. You will not be able to play games.... Search the forums, there are many posts like yours..
