You can define playlists for videos, music, etc. but not custom channels as you describe in the TV guide. The customisable TV guide shows only TV channels, regardless of type, i.e. cable, terrestrial, etc.

As for the remote: if it works fine in WMC then it should be possible to get it working in the same way in MP. Have you tried tinkering with any of the Hauppauge remote settings in MP config? Those would be the only things I could suggest...

If you are using Moving pictures and they are all in one folder, you can make a category based on file path (path contains .. ) and you will be able to use the category 'as a boxset' so to speak. And yes, you still get all the film info and covers etc..

Main problem with this card is that it is a software encoding card. Means that it is unable to provide a mpeg2 datastream to the TV-Server.

Yes, you can use TV Server to stream TV from 1 or more tuners to 1 or more PCs on your LAN. I say PCs because you can't stream to devices like XBOX or TVs. There are a couple of plugins that allow you to stream to smartphones though:
