I have a pvr500 (2xanalog) and a floppydvb (digital).
All analog frequencies of the channels that are available in analog are added to the scanned DVB-C channels. Afterwards I also map these channels to the analog cards, so these channels have 1 digital and 2 analog cards assigned to it.

I am about to attempt an install of the latest TVServer SVN onto my newly built Server.
It is running Server 2003 X64...
I still have this VMR9 issue, the DVD play thing was only related to files from Harddisk, adn this was due to the fact that the network share was not mapped anymore.... I know.... really dumm.... but well, these things happen.
Anyway, there seems to be an issue with vmr9 on my system, but I have not been able to fix this.

I don't think so. The only way I could even imagine is to assign one TV tuner only to the channels you wish to record in private and then set that card to record over the network to your local PC. Not sure if this would work though.

I had similar problems to you. I didn't run with it long enough to have exactly the same experience as yourself. WAF took a nosedive so I had to get it stable.
I agree, the picture quality was better with the server but as this is used by all the family, stability is the most important factor.
