Hi, i am using MP for about 2 months now. And it is great, everything works even my IR remote control from my pinnacle capture...
*sigh*... i knew it was too good to be true.. just rebooted my machine and found that the 4t Tray Minimizer Freeware edition does not store options !! :evil:
oh well.. nothin for nothin i suppose :wink:
In any case, I will continue searching for a freeware alternative that will do the job.

As the devteam as stated a few times in the forum MP is intended to be a fulltime HTPC. IMHO, this is reasonable and helps focus...

hey, i know this is a reaccuring topic, but none of the other methods have ever worked for me, however i finally got around to...
I even have a motherboard with both SPDIF in and out so they do exist! I'm only using the SPDIF out though... I also have a PVR-150 where I hook up my STB's audio out into the 150's Line-in.
This is not an answer to the original poster's question but rather a gotcha that one should be aware of...

I actually just noticed that the Core AVC don't even use the GPU to decode the h.264 and I even managed to run the trailers I downloaded without problem on a Athlon XP 2000+ with a Nvidia 440MX card with absolutely no problem. :-)
Next version of the Core AVC will even utilize GPU support... we will se about that.

I took me some time to finally get rid of the stuttering or tearing (is it tearing?) when watching TV. It really drove me crazy...
Check out the snapstream.com companys expensive BTV, they are damn slow to get anything done even though they were some of the first to make a "HTPC" friehdly PVR. They are just making their product less and less attractive for every one out side the U.S. and Canada!
