When I exit MP and put my HTPC in sleep mode, and then turn it back on, MP is never able to start back up. I have to kill the process using task manager and start the program from scratch.

The movie database (IMDB) is a realy nice feature, or better, would be, because I don't want to use it as it is. Whenever you look up the IMDB information for a movie the cover image picture ('folder.jpg') is replaced with an image I do not want!

Thanks to santa.clause (maybe a late christmas gift?! :) I found that 3D settings in ATI Control Center affects Mediaportal!

Unfortunately MP 1.0 doesn't respect charstet setting in DirectVobSub filter, instate it looks for the system default charset for non Unicode programs
in order to fix your problem go to Control Panel > Regional and Language Options and set the desired language on the Advanced tab.
Restart your system and there you go.

I switched on my HTPC today and when MP was starting up I got the error that Mediaportal has encountered a critical error...
I wasn't moaning!!!
No-one replied with a response so I did a fresh install (of MP) but noticed that I had a double entry for one TV card and under type, it said "Unknown" before re-install. This was on a new install of Vista and updates and drivers were not fully in place when I installed Vista.

well, if you ask me, "mediaportal" doesnt rupport switching resolutions. So, the movie you are playing, will
be played in the windows default resolution. So, could it be that your are using an external player, that
switches your output resolution ? (or something like that)....
