I have a question about the MCE replacement Plugin and blasting to an external device. for the most part the device works...
I use WinLIRC with IR Server and everything works beautifully for while. Randomly, I get some error about IR Server has encountered an error and windows prompts me to close the program. Here is the only thing that looks suspicious in the logs:

tested with out replacement driver:
IR Server Suite - Debug - 2007-10-28.zip
With this version MP does not crash any more but the remote does not respond anymore.
And with removing the plugin I had to manually remove the hardware in device manager to get the old driver to work again.

Btw I managed to get ir server stop working with some codes I thought were good as they didn't stop working right away. Found out later they did the same after some blasting. Anyways like I told before blasting always works in translator test-mode so that should narrow the places where to look bug from.

You could certainly use the external program launching capabilities of the IR Server Suite to launch your redeye command line tool.
At the moment there is no input support for this device, but I will add it to my To Do list.

If the replacement driver is now obselete, how do I go about configuring Mediaportal to work with the MCE...
It has probably disappeared because it is failing to start correctly. Try wiping the IR Server.xml file and starting again.
I'll release a new version within a couple of days that will hopefully get around this anyway.

I got this weird problem since I installed Mediaportal RC2. I'll try to sum
- Since I installed RC2 my remote didn't work in...
I'll be releasing a new version of the MCE Replacement Plugin in the next few days, try again when that comes out and let me know how you go.
