You can stream TV to smart TV's fairly easily using Servio. It worked on our Sony and Samsung smart TV's, but it meant that you could only set up a single channel to stream and you had to change channel via the PC running Servio...

Hi All,
I have been using the Raspberry Pi (credit card sized single board computer) for a while now, and stumbled upon >this<.
Could this Pi&Bash>_ device be used as a remote control device, or something similar to the LCD on the front of the HTPC case, but remotely positioned somewhere e.g. next the the arm chair on on the wall in...

Ok - so to use xbmc as frontend I need to go with ffmpeg - not tsreader? And ffmpeg is viable on other platforms than atv2?
So one solution could be to change the hardware (atv2 to maybe a nuc?) to be able to keep xbmc?

Hello!
Still haven't had any luck over at xbmc forums so I'll give it a shot here.
I can't get my current setup to work!

Quality settings are under the delivery tab and the remote tab (content delivery).
Servioo doesn't launch more than 1x ffmpeg process if I launch sequential files. It does keep the last process going (according to a search of the forums this is by design, not a 'bug'), I assume it's so that you can easily resume and might also help...

Hello. I'd like to know how does Mediaportal create a playlist on the fly with similar songs from other folders just by selecting a song to play. I thought it had to do with last.FM, but I haven't been able to replicate it in XBMC or find an app for my Android phone that does the same. Could you help me with that? Thank you.

Thanks! Very nice. I've sent a donation :)
Should we add counter = count to show the number of donators? Just like coinwidget.com did. It might make others consider donating if they see that they're not alone.

We are excited to announce that the media center software we’ve all loved for so many years will have a new name, starting with version 14. Instead of XBMC 14, we’d like to introduce you to Kodi 14.
Since 2002, the software known as XBMC has gone through three namings. First, it was called Xbox Media Player. Upon realizing that it...

Good afternoon,
Ages ago, I acquired a PCI DVB-S tuner card, which I've never used for anything. Is there anything worth getting with setting up a DVB-S/S2 card and satellite dish in North America? I can't seem to find any good, true FTA channel lists for North America, and what I can find either appears to be religious, or...

Good afternoon,
Over the past few months, I've been trying to get XBMC to work as a client PC for rooms where very little TV is watched and I don't need the full functionality of the MediaPortal client (ie: the bedroom, and my office). The biggest hurdle has been stuttering video and/or major audio delay (primarily H.264 recordings...

Hi guys.
I am wondering how to can get the most resolution out of a 3D BluRay backup through a passive-3D TV.
My passive 3DTV outputs the left and right eye frames at the same time (unlike active which switches each eye). To achieve this with only 1920x1080 pixels to work with, the TV polarises the first row of pixels for one eye...
