I saw this mistake, I think that it is connected with that that at the first start of scanning the server swore on not initialized card and has not wanted to scan, at repeated attempt all has passed well...

My idea was not to wake-up, but the documentation says that it will NOT enter hibernation, if the next event is less than 30 secs. away - so if a recording schedules a wake-up for each 25 sec every 25sec, than maybe you could avoid hibernation while recording.

Well, let's put this one to rest. One reason is I did not buy a license for PowerDVD and thus cannot be sure it works 100% as it should. Second reason is that by selection another version of the PowerDVD audio codecs, it works 100% as I would expect. Meaning: no freeze when switching on TV, and no change of the settings.

ah ok. It would probably make sense then to receommend (or even distribute?) ffdshow as audio decoder together with MP. This would save new MP users from falling into the "mpeg1 trap", since there still seem to be some TV stations out there that broadcast mpeg1 audio.

This happens on ALL channels I configured. CNN, Kabel 1 Austria, Vox, RTL, Super RTL, Pro7, PULS 4, GIGA, BBC, etc. Its random. But I cannot remember that e.g. NRJ Hits did not work which. It is on 11538 V. So, maybe it is that issue but I cannot really verify...

I checked the log myself thoroughly and found out History Channel was found two times during the channel scan in TV server. This is caused by the now also Technical merger of three cable providers, so my transponcer list picked up a second History channel. Result was that Mediaportal picked the first it had found...

Are your .TS files very small ie no video content included. I doubt this but a very remote possibility even though I have never experienced this with MP? SD can average at 1gig and hour.
Have a good clean out of your codecs use Filmerit.
Which Catalysts do you use ? have you enabled any dual monitor modes or TheatreMode...

I waited for the first SVN because noticed that there were some corrections from developers.
In fact, radio starts properly now, bt all the other problems remain.
Very slow starting of analog radio, sometimes (very often) channel changing doesn't work between different cards, recording doesn't work.

as we clearly state in the wiki, we do not support certain OperatingSystems, simply because Microsoft does not support them in the way we would need it.

infinityloop - you are saying either the audio stream from the tuner card getting corrupted or the TV-server's stream?
To rule out the tuner card, would a IRTrans remote volume change go to the tuner card? I didn't think it would touch the tuner card at all so I'm thinking it would be more likely the streamed data from the TV-server.

but be aware that after you did a scan with the tv-card, the channels are allready mapped to it.

Nope turned out not to be related to the db at all. After multiple reinstalls I realised it was because I was replacing some of the files used for tuning channels and that was messing it up. (satellites.xml etc).
Pretty silly really, should have realised earlier but to be honest it would be nice if it chucked an exception rather...

64QAM broadcasts are more prone than 16QAM .
Sometimes the sync is so far out after a jump forward that the playbak goes into ultra fast forward without sound.
Usualy if no sound present after a jump forward or channel change then a 5 second jump back syncs both.

Disable the "Import files in new tvguide.lst", click "ok" to save setup & close, then open TVGuide.xml in notepad & save it again & then try again(TV Server will detect new file & start to import), on my test channel it imported successfully ;)

I think I found the reason: Insufficient disk space! (Oh boy, I should have thought of this earlier...)
Obvously TV Server could not create more than one single tsbuffer file then the partition was full. The reason being immense amount of leftover files in \windows\temp and ...\Documents and Settings\... folders. So watch out...
