well, thats a hidden directory. so start your explorer, type %ProgramData% in the adress-field, and voila!
copy the thumbs there, and it works. admin-rights would be fine, btw.

Using DVB dual tuner works better as I don't have to bother with all the crappy MS patches to get both tuners working at once. Plus, as I currently use my desktop for MP currently, its great to be able to record without firing up MP (or forgetting to), and being able to stream to my laptop (most of the time!)

This is no longer a problem for me as I have a tv server setup that is now working fantastic!!
I don't know what the problem was with the previous tv engine tho I tried serveral time and had the same result everytime, i tried a fresh install, i tried the Microsoft patch from the above thread, all no joy!!

Hmm my problem is similar although the log says its getting the EPG but nothing appears. I know that updating does work as I can get it to occur easily in another HTPC program. Perhaps I'm just being impatient and should let it run.

I'm using a Hauppage Mova-T 500 dual DVB-T card. I expected the EPG to be updated over the air and to be available very quickly...

Is it possible to change the default time interval in the TV Guide screen? Usually it's set for ~2hours and I use F8 to increase that to the maximum which I think is ~4hours.

Today (one day after the inital installation) i had to rescan all channel TV (the last scan didn't save...).
Then, i've sorted the channel listing (drag&drop) + put the right channel numbers (1->55) and finaly have made an export.
Now, everything's ok and my TV channels are well sorted.
