Thanks for your help. It seems that this has improved the stuttering. Main changes I did were in overscan, v-sync and trying different hardware acceleration.
I did notice though that when I use Mediaportal audio renderer, ac3 audio becomes choppy. This does not happen on the default directsound renderer.

It's not possible to do it manually that way, but you can try the Inteligent frame correction plugin, it has black bar detection and it will zoom in and out automaticly. Otherwise the viewmodeswitcher plugin does also that kind of things.
