I have same problem recording and viewing from an analog input in a HVR4000. huge video delay, not always.
AMD780 chipset (Gigabyte motherboard). It has become worse with RC4.
Tried to watch on different cmputer and same delay. tried different codecs and updates without success.
DVB-T working OK.

Yes I did a rescan. It indeed switches within a second ... but only if the channels are on the same transponder. I have to check if the problem only occurs when switchign between transponders and/or satellites.

I finally managed to get CoreAVC working OK by selecting the "Hardware" option in the CoreAVC configuration with "Best" de-interlacing option in Media Portal.
