i have diabled MP's idle timer, and instead set windows to turn off the monitor (TV in my case) after 2 minutes... so after 2 minutes, my TV will display "NO SIGNAL" and then automatically...

Well I have now installed imdisk and set the time shift back to the new ram drive. After 2 days it's running fine so my fault must of been caused by a weird asrock ramdisk error.

ok, this was indeed the error. Thanks for the advice.
1. Disabled TV Series stopped the error occurring
2. Located the TV Series database
3. Right clicked the TV Series database, restored previous version to well before the problem started
4. Re-enabled TV Series
5. Switched Media Portal on
