Having trouble installing or configuring MediaPortal?
Well that's a bugger, guess it will have to wait until Vista comes out then. Obviously the Fusion HDTV software doesn't use the same methods to display coz that works nicely.

Hi,
Just skip true the wizard, using next, next etc & ok @ end, don't run search for anything. After that you can open MP Setup & configure your settings there (Television -> TV cards -> Edit).
There seems to be a problem with sqlite db handling & some Scandinavians setups.

When I try to run the Configuration, MediaPortal crashes at window 5 - Analog TV configuration. The error-log looks like this...

I previously found another thread with the same problem but didn't find the solution.
Apperently i missed 1 post in it. and there it was..... Something about the card has the wrong name and settings in a XML file. The link at the top...

I cant scan media or save channel scan. sqlite db support crashes and can't write/create new database.
This hapends on freshly installed XP home SP2.

Vlc is by far my all-time favourite player, but when i tried to use it in MP i couldn't use the remote to fast forward or rewind. Nor could i exit the player without using my keyboard instead of my remote. Any idea how to get pass those issues?

Try to reinstall rc4 and then uninstall it the proper way.
If that doesn't work go to add remove programms and choose to repair mediaportal it will ask for the setup files from rc4 and then it will be reinstalled.
