Honestly, I don't know. I personally run MPExtended on a Core2Duo and VLC always uses 100% CPU there, so that makes me think that it always uses all cores. For the rest, we use the settings specified in StreamingProfiles.xml and VLC default settings...

But back to my original problem... also with cutting my recordings at i-frames, it doesn't change anything:(
I realized it is only a problem of the vlc transcoding process. I changed my WebMP flash profiles to ultilize ffmpeg and it works perfekt!

Sorry, missed your post. There have been some more reports of this, and setting the fps property for the encoder seems to help usually. Can you try that?
