But after a BIOS update for my machine.
I did see that my IEEE driver kicked back into VIA mode instead of Legacy drivers.

I did a reinstall, because some sound and codec shizzm was not working very well. Now I am missing the "TV Client"...
For the records can also run the process in different times:
- Run when the recording starts (live)
- Run when the recording ends
- Run at a fixed time after the recording ends (delay)
- Run before the recording is deleted (not very useful for what you want)
Plus you get a far more advanced recording engine then the TV Server offers :)

The TV streams can be viewed using any software that can play RTSP streams (like VLC). IPTV is different, so the answer is probably "no". Also, the IPTV receiver would not be able to tell MP to start streaming a particular channel or to change to a different channel.

And what happens when the time of the channel change comes - does the other channel start? This can happen to me when I open MP configuration without cleanly closing MP; when I open MP again and start viewing TV the old timeshift buffer is still used. However I can't reproduce in normal circumstances. Logs might help.
