Tried to change some of the found "spare" channels in the channel list.
Seems like a more fundamental problem, as I still get a "no signal" message when trying to play the channel. All other DVB-S channels are working, though
Now I am out of options.
Maybe somebody else can help me out.

I have a similar problem with WinTV-Nova-HD-S2 and the latest drivers from Hauppauge. But for me the DVB-s part is not working as it should. The connection to the TV-server gets broken when i change channel. It seems like MP dont recognise the card as is should.
I had to revert back to the drivers from the 4.6b CD to get it to work...

Well, if I fail to see the tv is heard but not seen, I imagine that will be codec issue, because I was playing and when I stay black, I tried all the PowerDVD codec, the saf, ffdshow , k lite, and still not seen anything .... and the case is that the configuration of the prior tvserver in if you are.

I am also using a Gigabyte Board, but I have the GA-MA78GM-DS2H and there is only one update which adds support for new CPU´s.
So unfortunately only a fix for you and I have to use the MPStandByHandler further.

I decided to test other channels on the same transponder to see if they worked. They do. And so does BBC1 SW now! So the problem seems to have gone away on its own after four days :)
If it happens again I'll try checking the dish alignment, cabling etc, but at the moment it's all working really nicely so I'll leave it alone for...
