It is true that it takes 100% CPU usage but after 1-2min it jumps down to 17-27% SDTV and 20-45% HDTV using CyberLink.

I can now confirm that h.264 codec is used for mpeg4 TV streams.
So obviously changing the other codecs had no effect on deinterlacing.

In a more recent attempt with a newer iTunes, I was also able to set iTunes to play fullscreen and get protected content to play. I tried to setup my MP to use Gabest and FFDShow (no DXVA) for all videos, and so far I have managed to get them to work on...
OK I think I have fixed this on my system by usinf SAF and CoreAVC Codec.
I installed CoreCodec (did not install the bundled Hallislitter).
In the Core Codec configuration I then set the following for what I consider the best picture:
Deinterlacing: Hardware
Force VMR AR Correction
everything else left as per the defaults.

With PWDVD8 some (new) BD didn't work, so I had to upgrade.
Preffer also to play BD with PWDVD, because I want to have the full BD functions.

If you have not solved this, you could look into one thing. Startup MediaPortal, press alt+enter, MP should is now not fullscreen, check if sound for the MP is set to 0, this happened to me, WMP worked fine, but not MP. I don't know how this happened but it can.
