Hi all,
Wonder if anyone else has come across this problem.
When I fast forward a WMV files and then press play, it just freezes on one frame.
if I press back, I can restart the movie.
So MP is not freezing, just the player is not recovering from the fast forward.
Can someone else try this to confirm

Yeah it seems that for XP 8.12 is best for XP (Altho it means DXVA of MPEG2 is broken <- i've read this, but i don't think it really matters much, i think you need either 8.5 or 8.6 for DXVA of MPEG2 - however if using 8.5/8.6 then freeview doesnt work with DXVA) . I've read that 9.1 & 9.2 break DXVA X264 in XP.

I am actually pretty happy with my solution. It's very easy to tune the movie FPS to 24, 25, 30, 50 or 60 fps with the way i have it set up now, so I'm happy as well. Would be happier if it was possible to execute a script before playback, based on the movie FPS though, but heck, this works...

you can make rules in ffdshow to switch between the profiles. So lets say you have resize profile and noresize profile. Then you can make a rule that if the video is let's say smaller than 800x600px to switch to resize profile and that way you'll only get postprocessing on SD channels :)

Yes I have sorted it out by choosing "All RGB" for "Raw" in the codec section of ffdshow.
This way ffdshow runs for DVD files but not for the TV tuner. I didn't want it for the TV tuner.
