Here is something to chew on: Most of my x264 movies (720/1080p) play fine at their supposed 24fps, but some, about 10%, starts to stutter and drop frames (checked with Ctrl+1), especially with fast moving scenes.
Now, when I turn off hw acc the movie plays perfect again (tested with spiderman 2.1/720p)!

I tested a view internal and external players. Non of the internal ones worked. All of the external did (Power DVD, VLC)
MP is using 99% CPU and is running on the database. It doesn't stop if I don't kill the process.
