All I do with my .iso images is mount them with daemon tools or whatever and then copy the video and audio folders out into a folder on my hard disk, I then delete the .iso.
The resultant dir. takes up the same amount of space as the .iso but is recognised perfectly by MP and all it's plug-ins.

You might want to try DScaler (4, not 5), at least to pinpoint the problem. If you get it working in Dscaler, it should be possible to get it to work in MP, so you'd have to focus on setup etc. On the other hand, if it won't work in Dcaler either, you'd better focus on drivers, input signal etc.

Alright, I figured it out! As soon as I got rid of my video share that is located on an external USB 2.0 hard drive, all the slowness issues went away and I can immediately browse videos. So I'll have to do without my archived video until I can get a RAID installed in my second HTPC =)

I've been running MediaPortal for about 6 months now on my main HTPC:
2.8GHz P4, 1.5GB RAM, GeForce 6600GT, 1.5TB RAID5...
Notice the 2 sets of arrow keys just above the Channel column in guide. One set (associated with the Guide's date label) is for skipping horizontally in day increments, the other set is for expanding or compressing the program columns to 15 minute, 1/2 hour, 45 min and 1 hour coulmns.
