Useing the standard MP2 install, I added the share for my movies. I have a few hundred movies.
Now the standard MP2-Server folder has folders, config, Database(Never used), Log, SlimTVCore, TheMovieDB, Thumbs,TvDB
My Database. sdf grew from about 6MB to over 10MB
TheMovieDB folder is a wapping 1.46GB 3,948 files and 1,765 folders...

I had the same problem and am learning about troubleshooting. I read my logs and determined it to be that I was using .NET 3.5 and needed higher, so I installed 4.5 and was disappointed to find that did not fix the problem. I knew it was not a bug as others were using the SlimTV fine.

You can use your existing MP1 TV Server from within MP2 (via MPExtended) or the MP2 native TV solution. If your cards are working in MP1 the they are working in MP2 too (at least with the MP1 TV Server).
In a few days there will be the release of the brand new MP2 Alpha3 version with lots of new features and fixes. So stay tuned...
