Question from a mewbie,
Forgive me if it's already been discussed but will this version have the MHEG5 capability for...
Currently there is no support or plans for the multi audio broadcasts. It is not possible just to write a plugin that would solve the issue, but instead it requires changes to the MediaPortal's core components to allow two audio streams to be renderred simultanous. The most complex part would be to mute the 1st stream when 2nd stream...

Hello.
First of all - thanks for your amazing work - the screenshots look absolutely fantastic.
I just tried to test the new Summer Alpha release, but interestingly none of my Series are recognized (except of one Series one Season). And even for this Series no Fanart or anything is downloaded.
The installation is a multi-seat-setup...

Hi all,
Firstly-- Massive apologies if this has been posted multiple times, but I've searched long and hard to try and find a solution to this issue.
Quite simple-- In any skin (and I've tried a few!) scrolling through options on the basic home menu is very jumpy. Rather than just sliding from one option to the next, the option...

Hi,
I have a monitor with a 16:10 aspect ratio. I am on the lastest version of mediaportal 1.2.3 . I'm certain that I used be be able to view older TV broadcast in the 4:3 ratio in full screen by cycling through the aspect ratio adjustment settings. Can't do that now, always left with black bars on the vertical either side. Anyone...

@ point 1:
I'm not going to pretend I have any idea what I'm talking about, but from personal experience with (in particular 1080i processing) hardware vs software vs codec issues it seems that mp being a global product may well make it tough to establish a standard baseline. one of the issues I had wasn't so much hardware based as...

Well, we use our own network transfer protocol. And we HAVE issues with that ;-)
When I have time, I'll have a look at it. It's long ago that I tested the network transfer for movies.

This is how I use the centralized database:
My htpc rig is dedicated for viewing movies only.
It only gets fired up when I want to view a movie. That involves firing up my lcd television, receiver and htpc.
Takes quite some time for say adding a movie to my Moving Pictures database.
That is why I moved all the MP databases to a...

This however would require that each movie is in a dedicated folder? Well I have such a setup, but maybe many just have a big folder with all *.mkv and *.avi files in it. How does XBMC handle such a setup?
For the *.nfo thing Moving Pictures already does this and it would be great if this can be part of the base. Right now I'm using...

A few years ago some dev's looked into getting MP to support MHEG and interactive red button services, but this was apparently too difficult and put off to MP2.
Since then there is now an open source project that could be leveraged off:

Is this something that could go into the roadmap for MP2...
