As far as 1.2.0 goes: I think Miroslav22's stuttering patch improved the RTSP streaming performance. You may be able to get away with streaming without copying with that improvement.

From my point of view it'd definitely need both, I get 5 sources for half a dozen channels from my tuners.
Most being SD with 1 or 2 being HD.
DVB-T only presents 1 channel in HD.
DVB-S/S2 present 4 - 3 SD sources (duplicates on the satellite) and 1 HD source.
Think there is definitely something here that could be developed...

When youre in window mode usually theres no reason to hit pause or anything like that so accidently hitting stop in that situation isn't as likely.
