OK I recreated the problem in MP 1.6 and posted it in the link you provided.
Thanks for the direction. Hopefully there will be a fix soon. MP without a remote is pretty hard on the family.

Yes, it's a Windows 'feature' that you can setup it up to have no password, but file sharing won't work correctly unless you have one....aargh! (I've fallen down that hole before as well).

I note you shouldn't have to tick that "use video codecs..." option. The defaults (presumably LAV) may have shown as selected in the UI, but they weren't saved. Hence the problem.

As I told you there, this is the intended behaviour of PowerScheduler - the server must be up as long as any client is running. If your clients do nothing useful then you should shut them down or better let them sleep automatically after some minutes idle...

It dident work before i removed MP and made a fresh install, it got the same error it got from the shortcut so i dident bother checking, but it worked woho :)

have tryed reading all about diseq but cant get it to work under mediaportal 1.6 with bgt 3630, my old cards work (terratec/tevii)
did reset the log files in tvserver and did a channel scan but only finding channels on one lnb ...
the lnb i have is monoblock lnb whith Hi-iso DiSEqC-swich and it is working whith the other cards...

It's great that MP has directions on how to setup EPG five different and complex ways but perhaps I'm just too lazy or tech...

There were some errors thrown when installing BDA (permissions) but took care of them using takeown and cacls.

I just copied and pasted the URLs you posted into new channels. The channel number and bitrate don't matter. Only the URL is required. They don't need to be in the same group or anything "magic" like that.

I was wondering if there was any way to have the default or titan skin use a "backdrop.jpg" image without having to use the Moving Pictures plugin. It's a nice plugin, but I had started putting "folder.jpg" & "backdrop.jpg" in movie folders (as that is the naming scheme that plugin uses).

Got it working:)
Installed MP temporarily running Windows 7 where MP setup launched just fine so knew it wasn't a hardware issue then went back and re-installed XP SP3 along with .NET 3.5 and all updates. This time no EventType clr20r3 error and crash. Below are my notes to myself about this process in case it helps.
