There is no need to answer my question anymore, because:
1. I uninstalled all and startet installation again, error LAV was not installed. I tried 3 times, always the same.

When the buffer is full, the 1st buffer will be overwited.
If you have 40 x 250MB = 10GB buffer, you will stay 39 x 250 = 9,75 GB when a buffer file is overwited.
If you have 4 x 2500MB = 10GB buffer, you will stay 3 x 2500 = 7,5 GB when a buffer file is overwited.

That's good news. Not sure how it is working. Maybe it relies on the Colossus driver ignoring any requests to switch to a tuner channel and staying on the inputs you wanted? Doesn't sound the most bulletproof of setups. I hope it keeps working for you. :)

Well, I bought one, and apart from that missing Power button, it's almost as good IMHO. I use the Microsoft receiver anyway, so no big deal. I can get a brand new remote + media keyboard for ~30 Euro on Swedish eBay, but I have no use for the keyboard, so I went with the Chinese one instead.

On startup....TV (and RecordedTV) is fine....as it should be....no flashing!!
Once I attempt to play certain .mp4 videos...these plays audio only...and won't stop.
Repeatedly pressing escape...results in MP 'not responding'

TV Server doesn't have a higher threshold. Tuners don't really work that way... at least not with Windows. In other words, there is no threshold to adjust, and TV Server should find just as many channels as WMC.
