I updated my xonar driver to 7.12.8.1777 (I know I should have dome this before.........) and now BASS works well AS LONG AS DS3D is turned off in the xonar control center. If it is turned on MP still freezes.

it worked fantastic about 5 or 6 months ...
then - end of last...
I weren't able to solve this problem, so played a little bit with my installed codecs. I hat installed al codecs separably (ffdshow, haali media splitter). I de-installed all an installed a codec pack. K-Lite Basic was my first chose and no everything works fine.

I don't know about your specific issue, but I had problems with the mp after resuming as well. There is an option to "Restart MediaPortal on resume" which I had to enable to fix my issue. Whether restarting mp will be quicker than waiting for it to become responsive on your system, I don't know. But worth a look if you haven't tried it.

I agree, starting in Live TV Mode when MediaPortal starts up would be a nice feature.
I prefer to boot up normally rather than using Suspend Mode since Windows in general tends to get buggy/bloated the longer it runs without a reboot.

I tried both v4 and v5 experimental (so mpc codec for 4, ffdshow for xdva for 5). v5 seems to work a lot better but still not perfect.
