I found what I did wrong:
My problem was that only the IFO files were recognized by MP TVSeries and not the VOB files, so all I had to do was to add this file type to the files that recognizes MediaPortal as videos. After I did this I just had to manually assign the correct episodes to the files.

Trakt handles it differently as it calls it every time it publishes to skin, in TVSeries we just persist the updated string to the database so when its read we dont need to do anything before publishing.

The trakt.tv plugin supports LiveTV and RecordedTV, so assuming your TVGuide is very good and has season/episode information then you can scrobble your recordings / live TV and have it sync to TVSeries plugin when it does it's sync.

Ok thanks for the reply, not a major. I'm using streamedMP for MP1.3 and I can only see main cast for the entire season. Not cast as per episode. As I say not that bigger deal just I would have found it helpful on the odd occasions.
