I made 3 changes based on damien's suggestions
within tv series cfg
-enabled "Keep reference to files that are no longer on computer"
- disabled "refresh info every 12hrs from online db"
within lan card config
- disabled powerdown
-enabled WOL (to keep card active even when computer asleep)

Possibly a bug in the plugin, can you raise it in the Issue Tracker please and I will see whats going on later.
In the meantime turn off 'Auto choose series...' in tvseries configuration general settings OR in MediaPortal choose 'Force Online Match' from the menu when you select the series (this will allow you to pick the correct one).

Yeah, that would be useful. The problem I'm having with StreamedMP is that the episode selector is at the bottom of the screen, so any fanarts where the subject (ie people) is at the bottom of the picture ends up just looking wierd. The filtering would therefore be a killer feature for me.
