The problem I reported in this thread about MP is crashing on DVD stop has fortunately nothing to do with Moving Pictures.
I was able to reproduce this bug with Moving Pictures disabled.
It is a bug in RC4 together with Minidisplay and EQ option. If I disabled EQ in minidisplay I get no more crashes.

Thanks for the offer. I reinstalled the mediaportal and the error is gone for the moment. This is a trial run to see how user friendly the software is to configure. So far I am very impressed given my recent XBMC, MeediOS(f'in joke), VMC, MCE 2005 and MyMovies implementations.

You have to make sure the wmv extension is included in the list of, well, extensions in MediaPortal (configuration -> Movies -> movie extensions)

That is the latest version. And there are a few ways to load via IMDb ID but the easiest is to click the manual search string button on the importer and then enter the IMDb ID instead of the movie title (in this case tt0482463, the last part of the URL for the IMDb page). It should find the correct movie.
