Well in fact the whole interlacing thing is a kind of "get used to".
You can only see half of the picture at one time - so interlacing happens in your imagination ;)

Another idea, why not use alternate stylesheets with your website? That would make the skin-site skinnable :). And in that way you can also make 'theme-skins' for the website...
