Thanks for your reply. I already tested my suggested card and have to say that it does not fit. Now I use a HD4670, which is the shortest I know. This cards fits with ca. 3-5cm space left to the optical drive ( LG Electronics GGC-H20L). Hope it helps others too. Have i nice evening Sinus2K

Hi everyone, this might seem a little strange but: I have an HD3200 onboard chip, which decodes everything I throw at it...I don't have 1080i sources so no problem there BUT I have the feeling the MP menus in general are a bit stuttery. I had a look at Windows Media Center recently which has very smooth menu transitions - I...

nice app, great! used the original hdmion app with a shortcut button on my remote. Will try this app and see how it works. This app does not have the desired effect on my system. Hoped that the app (with the setting 'turn monitor on every second') could poll my TV when I turn it back on. Still have to use the original hdmion app...

I'm interested in playing the latest games on my HTPC with decent framerates, but am somewhat limited with card length on the NSK2480. I would really like to grab a GTX260 (55nm) but I'm pretty sure the 10.5" card length is too deep for the case. I have no intention of cutting the case at all so I need to find something else that fits...

And then on top of OS comes everything else - utilities, codecs, drivers, etc. Until app. 2...

hey guys, I've been using the onboard gpu on my 780g board for about 6 months and have never been able to watch a blu ray at 24p without losing sync constantly with the sound. No need to buy new gfx card to replace the HD3200. Just increase the HT frequency in the bios. The HT frequency is the highway between the HD3200 and the RAM. Since you have AM2+ CPU the HT=1000Mhz. (If you have Phenom CPU it's 1800Mhz ie faster, that is why hd3200+phenom cpu does better deinterlacing). That's why 780G...

yeah i have gigabyte 780G mobo with integrated HD3200 (512mb shared memory) and AMD X2 4200+ CPU / 2GB DDR2 800 RAM using XP SP3 and MP 1.0 Final. 1080i is ok fairly good, but a little shakey. Hi, does anyone ever saw a nvidia 9300GS/GE card buyable? Im interested in that cards because they bring nvidia VP3 and should be able to be cooled passively. ( And they might be cheap, too ) Or does anyone tested one of those card once? Did not find a good test yet. Could try a 9400GT but this only supports VP2.

Hi mate Im currently running a 780g with a 4450e (2.3GHz) CPU and its great - its quiet and low power (although many people have complained about lack on interlacing options using X2 cpus - i do not use 1080i content so its not a problem for me). Oh, yes, you're right. I'm using the HDMI-1 on the TV, HDMI-2 is being used for the PS3 because for some reason the PS3 only works properly on port 2, on port 1 I get occasional flicker so I hope that's not the problem. There's also a third HDMI port that I can use. Thanks for the tips :) .

Yep - as I've since found out through closer inspection of it. Interestingly though, PDVD8 was playing it as DXVA (VMR9 input pin was definitely DXVA), but with massive artifacting. MPC-HC refuses to play it as DXVA. I'm guessing the artifacting occurred because of too many reference frames - periodically the artifacts would...
