I noted some time ago VU meters only registers values upto about 10 [version 1.4 -> 1.5, Oct 2013].

With Buffer 0,19 I've a few moments of whitenoise at the beginning of all my DTS-Wavs (5.1).
0,40 works much better for me.
Perhaps: Averyone has to find his own best.
