I apologize for not getting back to update this progress. I was in an accident at work on the 11th, and ended up with a broken toe. I've decided to go ahead & upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10...but on my HTPC, I'm going to obviously lose Windows Media...
I just wanted to report that I followed the instructions from Cruzer to get the paid version of mc2xml.exe and got it to work without much difficulty. I am using the Windows 7/8 data service as was suggested in the email that I received along with the mc2xml file. My OS is Windows 10 Pro 64 bit. I am running MediaPortal 1.11.0.

How do I enable artwork for movies and tv shows, that come from the Live TV? I can't find the setting anywhere.
IMHO the linking of EPG data to channels is the worst weakness of the SchedulesDirect plugin. I normally recommend people use mc2xml + XMLTV to pull in the SchedulesDirect data. At least that way you have explicit control over which EPG is linked to which channels.

I'm experiencing a problem with Schedules Direct that I didn't have in MP 1.7, but I changed a few things when I updated to MP 1.8...
That is the conclusion I am coming to. It is inbuilt on the Antec Fusion case so would be ideal to use. With iMon you select the MCE remote and can select Media Portal and configure buttons etc. Maybe there is too many interfaces. I have not tried not using the MP HID but am guessing that if none is selected then the remote will not...

After we changed to Summer time here in Finland the EPG is showing "Data not available" on channel FOX using DVB-T. Other channels work OK and also the other program works better with FOX information. I have done the channel search many times but it does not help.

I just posted an alpha version of a plugin for testing which should solve these EPG issues.
It's a regex/wildcard based EPG filter plugin called EPGCleaner.
Using the plugin, this regex pattern could remove those suffix's from program titles, though it could probably be written more elegantly:

I'm a little surprised you had major download problems with SD-plugin. For my main TV Server I use SD(data)/mc2xml/xmltv, looked at my debug system and the SD-plugin had EPG data up till Jan-31. I fixed it by switching in the task manager from mc2xml.exe to a command file and do error checking. That's much more reliable.
In TM change the .exe extention to mc2xml.cmd. Leave everything else as is.
In the settings tab, set "queue a new instance".
Now create mc2xml.cmd in the xmltv directory.

Yes, I have all of those options un-checked. I just installed the updated DLL, forced a guide update upon restart, restarted the TVServer Service, and as of right now, both the "custom" channel numbers and channel names appear to be sticking, but I'll follow up in a couple of days to fully confirm.
